SHARP GF-818SB Stereo Radio Cassette Recorder

The GF-818 was introduced in the late 1970’s by Sharp. It was Japan’s domestic version of the GF-515. It measures 543mm wide (including the tuner knob), 323mm tall (with the handle down, or 372mm with it up), and 156 mm deep. It’s very heavy (8.6 KG) due to its high-quality construction. It has 16cm woofers, horn tweeters, APSS music search, and an LED meter. Power output is 2×6 watts according to the EIAJ/DC Japanese industry standard. Available versions included the GF-818J, GF-818ST (silver), and GF-818SB (black). It cost 87,000 Yen, but there was a higher-priced version called the GF-888 which has an extra slider between the speakers.
